Salary Increase for Gramsevaks:
Recently, the Zilha Parishad has published a new Government Resolution (GR) announcing a significant increase in the salary for Gramsevaks. Previously, the Gramsevaks were employed on a contractual basis for three years, receiving a monthly salary of ₹6,000. However, with the new GR in effect, their monthly salary has been raised to ₹16,000. This increase reflects the importance and recognition of the critical role Gramsevaks play in the development of villages and Gram Panchayats.
Eligibility Criteria for Gramsevak Post:
To be eligible for the Gramsevak post, candidates must meet certain educational qualifications and possess relevant skills. The following are the educational requirements:
- a) 12th pass with a minimum of 60% marks.
- b) 3-year engineering degree from a recognized institution.
- c) Social degree like BSW (Bachelor of Social Work).
- d) 10th pass with a two-year Krushi diploma.
- e) A Krushi degree
- along with computer knowledge.
Candidates who fulfill these requirements are eligible to apply for the Gramsevak position when the Zilha Parishad publishes advertisements for the same.
Exam Preparation for Gramsevak Post:
The selection process for the Gramsevak post includes a competitive examination that candidates need to prepare for thoroughly. The exam pattern consists of 100 questions, with a total of 200 marks, and the duration of the exam is 120 minutes. The subjects covered in the examination are as follows:
- Marathi: This section tests candidates’ proficiency in the Marathi language.
- English: Candidates’ understanding of the English language is assessed in this section.
- General Knowledge (GK): Questions related to current affairs, history, geography, and general awareness are asked in this segment.
