📌 Eligibility Criteria

🧑‍🎓 Age Limit

Candidates must be 21 to 32 years old as on 26 May 2025.

📚 Educational Qualification

BVSc/BVSc & AH degree from a recognized Indian university or its foreign equivalent recognized by VCI (Veterinary Council of India).

🔍 Note:

Candidates holding MVSc/PhD degrees may receive ante-date seniority of 12/24 months.
Age relaxation for permanent commission will be applicable as per rules.

🔎 Selection Process

Initial Screening of applications at DGRVS
SSB Interview (Services Selection Board) – Candidates will be notified with date and place.
Merit List – Based only on SSB marks. Higher education or achievements outside SSB do not carry weight.

🏥 Medical Examination

Conducted by a medical board including male/female doctors and a Lady Medical Officer for female candidates.
Candidates unfit may appeal within 42 days to the Appeal Medical Board (AMB).
Final appeal: Review Medical Board (RMB).
Note: Pregnancy at any stage or during training disqualifies female candidates.

📑 Terms of Service

🎖 Grant of Commission

Selected candidates will be commissioned as Captain in the Indian Army.

🏫 Training

Post commission training at RVC Centre & College, Meerut Cantt.

⏳ Tenure

Initial engagement: 5 years
- May be extended up to 2 Spells Five and Four Years based on performance.

🪙 Salary & Benefits

Pay Matrix: Level 10(B) ₹61,300/-
Military Service Pay: ₹15,500/-
NPA: 20% of basic pay
KMA & DA as applicable
Free medical for self & family, canteen, accommodation, LTC, leave (60 annual + 20 casual)
