The National Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) is inviting applications for the post of Young Fellow under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. The institute is the apex organization for training and research in various aspects of Panchayats & Rural Development. NIRDPR is implementing a national level project namely – ‘Creating Clusters of Model Gram Panchayats to Achieve Holistic & Sustainable Development through Institutional Strengthening of GPs and Enablement of Quality GPDP across India’.

Young Fellow eligibility

Mode of Recruitment: The recruitment is on a contract basis.

Number of Positions: There are a total of 141 positions available for the post of Young Fellow.

Educational Qualification: Master Degree/2-Year PG Diploma in any stream of social science from any recognized university/institution. The minimum academic standards – required are 60% marks in Secondary (Class X) or equivalent examination and 50% marks in Higher Secondary.

Age Limit: The age of the candidate should not exceed 35 years as on 01.04.2023. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories.

Remuneration: The selected candidates will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs.35,000/- (Rupees thirty-five thousand) only. Additionally, reimbursement of the cost of travel and subsistence on tour outside the Block will also be provided.

Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee of Rs.300/- should be paid by General/OBC/EWS candidates through Pay Fee (SB Collect). No application fee is required for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
