Introduction: BSF Recruitment 2023
The Ministry of Home Affairs, Directorate General, Border Security Force (BSF) has released a notification for the recruitment of Head Constable (Radio Operator) and Head Constable (Radio Mechanic) in Group ‘C’ on a temporary basis likely to be made permanent. There are a total of 247 vacancies available for the year 2023. Interested and eligible Indian citizens (both male and female) can apply online at https://rectt.bsf.gov.in from 22nd April 2023 at 11:00 PM to 12th May 2023 at 11:59 PM.
Pay Scale and Allowances:
The selected candidates will be placed in Level-4 in the Pay Matrix, and the pay scale will be Rs. 25,500-81,100 (as per 7th CPC). In addition to the pay scale, they will also be eligible for various allowances such as Dearness Allowance, Ration Money Allowance, Dress Allowance, Special Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance, and others as admissible from time to time under the rules/instructions. They will also be covered under the New Pension Scheme as per Central Civil Services (Extra Ordinary Pension) Amendment Rules-2003.

Educational Qualification:
Head Constable (Radio Operator):
Candidates should have passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) with a minimum of 60% marks, OR 10th class pass with ITI in Radio & TV/Electronics/COPA/Data Preparation & Computer Software/General Electronics/Data Entry Operator.
Head Constable (Radio Mechanic):
Candidates should have passed 12th class with PCM with a minimum of 60% marks, OR 10th class pass with ITI in Radio & TV/General Electronics/COPA/Data Preparation & Computer Software/Electrician/Fitter/Info Technology & Electronics System Maintenance/Mechatronics/Data Entry Operator.
Physical Qualification:
The height requirement for male candidates is 168 cms, and for female candidates, it is 157 cms.
Age Limit and Relaxation:
The age limit for candidates applying for BSF Recruitment 2023 is 18 to 25 years as on 12th May 2023. However, there is relaxation in the upper age limit for reserved categories as follows:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC/ExSM: 3 years
Application Fee:
The application fee for General/OBC/EWS category candidates is Rs. 100/-, while there is no fee for SC/ST/ExSM category candidates.
